Web 2.0: What Went Wrong?

29Aug07

That’s the title of a course just started by Trebor Scholz at Department of Media Studies @ State University of New York at Buffalo. As a follow-up to Trebor’s previous studies & writings, this course “formulates a critique of the Social Web” – with plenty of interesting material as required texts (Benkler, Jenkins, Habermas, etc.). Assuming that something went wrong (and still is) with all this Web 2.0 stuff, the bottom line is: “Today, is it feasible to live ethical, meaningful lives in the context of the Social Web?” Bravo, Trebor, very good question!
