A few days ago the New York Times published a long article about “the digital-era sweatshop” where bloggers “work long hours, often to exhaustion” and are forced to “blog ’til they drop”. Really scary stuff. Quickly relaunched on many big media, CNN included, now the story got a serious, insider response in a video created by Barely Political. “Meet the victims of Web 2.0 greed, the exploited, invisible underclass who put RSS on your table,” writes BoingBoing. And rightly so.
