22/03/08: World Water Day

20Mar08

Water Day 2008The international observance of World Water Day is an initiative that grew out of the 1992 United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) in Rio de Janeiro. Despite the apparent abundance of clean water in the US and most of the developed world, more than 1 billion people around the world lack clean, safe drinking water and more than 2.6 billion lack adequate sanitation services.

This is so said: Another World Water Day (2009) has come and gone – and NO RESPONSES.

Water greetings – and keep up the good work!
